Membership in OSEYAD (Okumayı Sevdirme ve Yaygınlaştırma Derneği)'s book club program, The Little Library That Could, is open to families with children under the age of 18 living in Istanbul.
We believe that every child deserves access to books and a welcoming space to foster a love of reading. To ensure accessibility for all families, we offer a flexible book club membership model based on suggested donations.
We are a book club program supported by OSEYAD (Okumayı Sevdirme ve Yaygınlaştırma Derneği), an association based in Istanbul, whose mission is to instill and promote the love of reading and creativity. We want to broaden the world for our book club members. We believe that easy access to a wide range of books is the best way to start... and our special events are the next step.
"It is not enough to simply teach children to read; we have to give them something worth reading. Something that will stretch their imagination— something that will help them make sense of their own lives and encourage them to reach out toward people whose lives are quite different from their own."
