The Little Free Library organization.
On January 15, 2022, we joined the world-wide Little Free Library network, as Charter #129315. Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization based in the United States. Their mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Libraries. We are the very first location in Istanbul, and the second in Turkey.
Little Free Library book-sharing boxes play an essential role by providing 24/7 access to books (and encouraging a love of reading!) in areas where books are scarce. Through Little Free Library book exchanges, millions of books are exchanged each year, profoundly increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds.
Please plan on spending a few moments at our Little Free Library That Could before or after your next visit... and help yourself to whatever books you would like! And when you have books you no longer need, feel free to share them with the community in our Little Free Library!
